Little Beach has a reputation on Maui as being the “nudist beach” of Maui. (Although it is known as a nudist beach, you can keep your swimsuit on if you want!) This beach is a perfect little stretch of white sand that slopes gently into the turquoise ocean. There’s a very gentle shorebreak here (great for bodyboarding or surfing) and the snorkeling conditions are excellent.
The views on Little Beach are absolutely stunning, featuring the islands of Kahoolawe and Molokini on the beautiful blue horizon. There is also a very nice trail located right behind Little Beach, allowing for a scenic beach stroll.
To access Little Beach, you have to go through Onela Beach (Big Beach, or Makena Beach). Park in the first Big Beach lot, and then walk to the North end of the beach. Here you will find a trail over the old lava flow that leads to Little Beach.
